History
Rome

The Presidential Estate of Castelporziano
The Presidential Estate of Castelporziano is about 25 km from the centre of Rome. It is delimited by Via Cristoforo Colombo, which connects the capital to Ostia, the Pontina state road and the coastal road from Ostia to Torvaianica. It covers an area of 60 km2 and includes some historical hunting estates such as Trafusa, Trafusina, Riserve Nuove and Capocotta. It extends to the outskirts of the city and the Roman coastline, including approximately 3.1 km of unspoilt beach.
Roman Castles
The Roman Castles area is world-famous for charming historic villages and includes 16 municipalities on the outskirts of Rome such as Frascati, Grottaferrata, Castel Gandolfo, Ariccia, Genzano di Roma, Velletri, Rocca Priora and others. Each village represents a world waiting to be discovered with unique characteristics and peculiarities, culinary traditions and enchanting landscapes amidst historical heritage and traditions.
Archaeological Museum
The Civic Archaeological Museum Lavinium was opened in 2005 and its exhibition layout combines more traditional archaeological collections with multimedia communication technologies. At the entrance to the museum stands the statue of Minerva Tritonia. This spectacular terracotta statue, dating from the 5th century BC, depicts the goddess Minerva, to whom a significant sanctuary was dedicated in ancient Lavinium. The exhibition continues with an area dedicated to Aeneas.

Cinecittà World
Cinecittà World is a must for film lovers as well as others, here visitors are transported into the imaginary world of cinema. The largest Theme Park in Italy dedicated to the world of cinema. It is located in the Castel Romano area, where Dino De Laurentiis built his studios in the 1960s. It includes the Theme Park 'Cinecittà World', 'The Village', a retail area with shops, restaurants and cinemas, and a large site of significant natural and environmental importance called “Cinecittà Natura”.
